How to: Create a new document from a template.
Solution:
Select 'New...' from the 'File' menu and double-click the desired template on the 'General' tab page. Save the template file as a .DOC file.
1) Select the 'File' menu and select 'New...'. (The 'New' dialog box appears.)
2) Click desired tab.
3) Double-click on the desired template. (The template opens.)
4) Save the document under a new name:
a) Select the 'File' menu and select 'Save As...'. (The 'Save As' dialog box appears.)
b) Type the desired filename in the 'File Name' box.
c) Select 'Word Document' from the 'Save As Type' drop-down list box.
d) Type the drive and directory in which to save the file in the 'Save in' box.
e) Click 'Save' after all entries have been made.
